                 i.   Explain what your material is.

Collagen is a group of naturally occurring proteins. It is the main protein of connective tissue. Collagen constitutes 1% to 2% of muscle tissue, and accounts for 6% of the weight of strong, tendinous muscles

               ii.    Where is the material naturally found in animals like you?

It is naturally found in animals, and especially mammals, since collagen is the most abundant protein in mammals. It is found in the dermis, the tough inner layer of the skin.

              iii.     In commercial products, where is the material obtained from to put into shampoo, etc.? 

          It is obtained from retinoid or rentinol, tretinoin, and copper peptides or other peptides

                 i.  How does this molecule function to improve appearance of skin/hair/nails? or why can it not do this?

           Collagen creams can help improve the firmness and texture of your skin in the short term, but the overall goal is to stimulate your body's ability to increase collagen production. It can also speed up your skin's ability to turn over old skin cells and produce new skin cells. These creams work on the layers of skin where new skin cells are formed and where collagen gives your skin the support and firmness it needs to appear young and wrinkle-free. By increasing skin cell turnover, retinoid helps stimulate your body's collagen production.
