EXPLAIN

- Students are being assigned a project today:  Each student is going to build a small roller coaster

out of cardboard, hot glue, paper, and tape.  The roller coaster will model circulation.  A marble will travel along the roller coaster from the top (a ventricle which I will assign) to the bottom (the atrium which I will assign).  Mr. Reimer will supply materials and building will being next class.

•  Hilary and Diane will both build a roller coaster to show circulation from right ventrical (top of roller coaster) to left atrium (bottom of roller coaster).  Students should notice that this will include pulmonary circulation.  They have the same assignment, but EACH OF THEM IS DESIGNING AND BUILDING a roller coaster of their own; students will be graded separately.

•  Alex, Rachel and Christina will each build a roller coaster to show circulation from left ventrical (top of roller coaster) to right atrium (bottom of roller coaster).  Students should notice that this will include systemic circulation.  They have the same assignment, but EACH OF THEM IS DESIGNING AND BUILDING a roller coaster of their own; students will be graded separately.
